About

Pet Basics is a plain-English guide site for everyday dog and cat owners.

Every guide follows the same idea: short steps, clear reasons, no jargon. If a guide tells you to do something, it also tells you why it works, so you can adjust it to your own pet.

This site is written for ordinary owners, not veterinarians. Nothing here is veterinary advice, and nothing here diagnoses or treats any animal. For health questions, always see a licensed veterinarian. See the Disclaimer for the full wording.
